Dear Thomas,
What’s that you say? What about the twelve-month update? That all-important Super-Special Birthday Edition Update? Well, Buddy, in all the excitement of our late-June and July travels, that update got lost in the shuffle. Since I last posted, you (along with your Dad and me) have traveled to Lake Geneva, WI, Colorado Springs, CO, Spirit Lake, IA, St. Paul, MN, and Wheaton, IL. You’ve attended a wedding, been the (intentional or unintentional) center of attention gatherings of nearly every side of your family, flown on an airplane, traveled for hours and hours by car, had yoru first sailboat ride, first swim in the lake, and first ride on a merry-go-round. You’ve hardly spent any time at home doing normal, everyday things. And you’ve been a serious trooper, even on the airplane, where women ooohed and aaaaahed over you and flight attendants treated you like a prince. What with all the packing, and the unpacking, and the laundry, and the trying to get a little work done every once in a while, I have utterly failed to post about all the amazing things you’ve been doing. But here’s at least an attempt to catch up on the last two months.
